Polycount Brawl 2011 - Sonic - Part 3

Another update of the Polycount BRAWL character.


At long last I got the mesh into zBrush to start the detailing process.
I basically just flipped between all the subtools to add some definition here and there and build it up as I go along.


Some more posing was done, I re-meshed some areas that were fighting the form I was going for and simplified or combined parts that made more sense that way.
It’s still some ways to go on this, obviously, but I can see it getting there.


It’s certainly a nice challenge to go for the out-of-shape character after working so much on the archetypal buff and toned characters that are much more common in game art.


So here’s a screen of the first pass in zBrush
