Here’s a quick update on my Polycount BRAWL character.
I started detailing the equipment over a rather basic bodymesh and have been slowly working my way up.
It’s been going a lot slower than I was hoping for, in part because life happened outside, in part because it took me a while to settle on any particular design for the pieces i was modeling.

So the guys over at Polycount started a competition called the BRAWL.
You can head over yourself and read up on the rules but just as a quick recap, it’s basically to take any fighter from any fighting game ever and re-imagine him or her.
To spice things up a little, and to try to go down a route that I haven’t explored much I chose to try something different.

Another update on the Desert Eagle I’ve been busy modeling.
I have to say that after the work I did so far I have increased respect for weapon artists - the challenges in creating those hard surfaces are quite a change of pace from the more organic objects I’m more accustomed to creating.

It’s been a while since there was an update, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been busy. Lots of different models are in the making and while my latest organic project is undergoing revisions and layers of rework I started yet another mesh in the form of a hard-surface model.
